Regional Head of Technology Business Controls for State Street Bank, responsible for 1st line technology operational risk management across APAC. He has over 25 years of experience in diverse strategic and hands on leadership roles in the industry. Prior to State Street was the Head of Asia Risk at Morgan Stanley IM and earlier with ING as Chief Administrative Officer for ING Investment Management's India business and Asia Pacific Head of Non Financial Risk. In these roles he has held responsibility for Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, IT Risk Management and Infosec. He holds an MBA, is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), CISSP and is a doctoral research student.

Dominic Wu

Dominic Wu is the Director, Senior Risk Manager with BNY Mellon for APAC. He has 20+ years of experience in banking, securities, assets management and consultancy. Dominic is a qualified accountant, fraud examiner and professional risk manager and did his MBA from University of Hull, UK. He is sought out speaker in risk management and provides training to the regulators, universities, financial institutions and professional bodies. He is the Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Chapter of the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR) and Asia Financial Risk Think Tank.

Nicola Comninos

Nicola Comninos, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is currently the Group Chief Risk Officer of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). She is the chairman of the JSE Pension Fund Board; the non-executive chairman of a Fintech start-up; and holds various directorship positions for Nautilus Holdings, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSE Group. She represents the JSE on various industry committees, including the WFE (World Federation of Exchanges) Enterprise Risk Working Group and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Financial Sector Contingency Forum (FSCF).

With 14 years’ experience in financial markets, her previous roles include Managing Director of Nautilus Group, a Hedge Fund Platform;  Head of JSE Group Strategy, Sustainability and Key Client Relationship Management; Head of JSE Equities and Equity Derivatives markets and Head of Business Intelligence. Previous market roles include Investment Consulting at acsis Limited and Life Investment Product Development at mCubed Life.

Her qualifications include B.Com Honours and B.Com Investment Management degrees (both Cum Laude). She is the co-head of Women in ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) South Africa chapter and is a member of IRMSA (Institute of Risk Management of South Africa); CFA Institute; the CFA South Africa Society; and the Institute of Directors of SA (IoDSA). She has two sons.

Ritankar Sahu is the General Counsel & Head of Compliance at MAXpower Corporation, Asia's leading gas to power specialist and a key developer, owner and operator of small to medium gas-fired power plants. In addition to providing strategic business governance counsel to the Board, Ritankar focuses his practice on energy projects development, turnaround management, FCPA enforcement and special situations M&A. Prior to joining MAXpower, Ritankar was the Regional Corporate Counsel for Jacobs Engineering Group’s Asia operations, based in Singapore and Mumbai. He has also worked for Norton Rose (now Norton Rose Fulbright), at the firm’s London and Abu Dhabi offices with a practice focus on projects and project finance.

Benjamin Quinlan

He was named as one of Lattice 80’s top 50 FinTech influencers in Hong Kong in 2018.

Benjamin has an extensive track record advising many of the world’s leading multinational companies, financial services organisations, SMEs and start-ups on a variety of high-profile strategic engagements. He is quoted extensively in the global financial press and is frequently interviewed by leading media outlets, including Bloomberg, Reuters and CNBC. He is also a regular keynote speaker at leading financial services industry conferences across the world.

Prior to founding Quinlan & Associates, Benjamin was the Head of Strategy for Deutsche Bank AG’s Equities business in Asia Pacific and its Investment Bank in Greater China, and sat on a number of the bank’s global and regional executive committees. He was also the global strategy lead for several of Deutsche Bank’s landmark projects executed out of London and New York.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Benjamin worked as a Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman, a leading international strategy consulting firm. As part of the firm’s Corporate & Institutional Banking practice, Benjamin advised a variety of global and regional financial institutions on a range of strategic matters. He was also actively involved in the firm’s thought leadership publications and was widely regarded as one of Oliver Wyman’s global subject matter experts in investment banking and capital markets strategy.

Before joining Oliver Wyman, Benjamin worked at UBS AG in the bank’s Asia Pacific Client Coverage and Group Strategy departments, reporting into the regional President and CEO. He began his career in M&A and Capital Markets Advisory at PwC in Sydney.

Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a First Class Honours Degree in Economics (on scholarship) from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Qiniso Mthembu

Qiniso has over 17 years working experience and has distinguished herself as an all-rounder who is dynamic, possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, is highly analytical and an exceptional facilitator. She has held numerous roles ranging from operations management to strategy, governance, risk and compliance functions. A Certified Risk Management Practitioner, she has held senior roles in risk management including that of Chief Risk Officer for a Development Finance Institution where she was responsible for driving the organisation’s enterprise-wide risk management strategy.  Qiniso recently joined the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as Senior Enterprise Risk Manager and is responsible for rolling out the enterprise risk and resilience programme. 

Qiniso is an avid marathon runner and volunteers her time to serve as Risk Management Committee member for various non-profit organisations.

Prior to joining the financial sector, he was an investigative officer of the ICAC, with extensive experience in commercial corruption and bank fraud investigations.

He has extensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements for financial institutions under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance and the Banking Ordinance.
