Julien Haye joined Fidelity International (FIL) in July 2017 as Head of Non-Financial Risk in London and has over twenty years’ experience in the Financial industry.
In his current role, Julien partners with FIL’s top management and Board, leveraging risk insights to improve the firm’s operating model efficiency and product offering through effective risk management and culture, and to continuously improve the firm’s client outcome and journey.
Julien joined Fidelity from DWS, where his role was Global Conduct Officer and UK Chief Risk Officer. He joined Deutsche Bank in 2012 where he held various positions in Risk Oversight and ICAAP, before joining the 3 Lines of Defense Programme as Risk & Control Assessment Lead. In addition to his work with Deutsche Bank, Julien has worked for several financial services institutions in Treasury, Risk, Capital Management, Programme Management and Trading.
Julien is passionate about people, art and design. For many years he has led the LGBT diversity and inclusion agenda at the firms he worked for, mentoring young professionals and entrepreneurs to help them to reach their potential and supporting non-profit organisations.
Julien leads the Global LGBT inclusion strategy for FIL working closely with senior management and the HR team to nurture FIL’s inclusive and diverse culture. Having worked in less inclusive environments Julien recognises the importance of promoting the benefits of a diverse workforce therefore creating an environment where everyone can be themselves and to be a role model for LGBT colleagues.

Karen has 25 plus years of experience in the financial services industry. Spanning working in Industry, specialising in developing and implementing new products within life and pensions, moving into Consulting to specialising in MAI, post-merger integration, business process and performance optimisation, outsourcing and transformation, all of which allowed her to deepen her knowledge and experience of firms business and operating model specialising in IT and Operations.
Karen moved in to regulation, initially as part of the FSA, later subsumed into the Bank of England. Karen is a Senior Advisor within the Operational Resilience Division, responsible for developing the micro prudential supervisory approach for operational resilience. Her specialism over the last 11 years has focussed on firms business operating model; focussing on three aspects, business model development, business operating model optimisation and operational resilience, to consider the risks that can arise and assessing firms mitigation strategies.
Michael Sicsic is a senior executive in the field of risk and regulation in the financial services sector. He has a deep understanding of business models in the retail financial sector and its related risks.
Michael has founded Sicsic Advisory, a London based boutique consultancy focusing on financial services risk and regulation, in 2019. His team has a unique combination of expertise gained through direct industry experience, consulting roles and regulatory supervision leadership role in the UK retail finance market. Michael is the former head of supervision for the general insurance retail sector at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Previously, he held the position of Global Operational Risk Director at Aviva Plc., covering Life Insurance, Asset Management and Non-Life insurance.
Formerly, he worked for over 10 years at GE Capital in various senior risk and finance positions across commercial and corporate finance activities.

Johan Rosén has more than 15 years of experience from risk management in the financial sector in the Nordics, the Baltic region, Russia and Ukraine. He has been a credit officer and has worked hands-on with business area risk control, stress testing and capital models. Johan has also worked with corporate structural deals and acquisitions and divestments and with strategic corporate communication. Johan is currently the Head of Risk for Digital development, ICT and Financial Crime at Swedbank with added responsibilities for enterprise wide crisis management and contingency. Johan has an EMBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Nicola Comninos, CFA is currently the Group CRO of the JSE. She chairs the JSE Pension Fund Board and CFA SA Society Risk, Governance & Audit Committee. She participates in various industry committees, including World Federation of Exchanges Risk Working Group, SARB Financial Sector Contingency Forum and IRMSA Risk Intelligence Committee.
With over 15 years’ experience in financial markets, her previous roles include MD of Nautilus Group, a Hedge Fund Platform; and head of various functions including Group Strategy, Sustainability, Equities and Equity Derivatives and Business Intelligence. Previous industry roles include Investment Consulting and Life Investment Product Development.
Her qualifications include B.Com Honours and B.Com Investment Management degrees (both Cum Laude). She is IRMSA 2020 Risk Manager of the year and co-head of Women in ETFs South Africa chapter. She is passionate about mentorship and has two sons.
