Robin Trott is a former head of Prime Services’ Electronic Business in both Europe and Asia – covering institutional & corporate clients at both Citi and JPMorgan. Since 2018, he advises and mobilizes projects through his own Consultancy, Norton Edge. Based out of Singapore, he partners with larger Practices and FinTech firms, delivering transformational change by applying technology and optimizing data & operational process.

Previously, Robin has sponsored and run complex, global regulatory programmes including for MiFID II market microstructure, driven advocacy efforts through international industry bodies, and provided training on OTC IBOR Reform as well as on the practical application of Financial Technology. His experience spans across asset classes, as well as the order, trade & contract lifecycle. Whilst a business sponsor and Head of Product, he designed and implemented a number of industry standard trading platforms, low latency access, execution algorithms and real time risk systems; most notably, he was the designer-in-chief of Ullink’s (now Broadridge/ITIVITI) Order Management System and Fidessa’s (now ION XTP) Derivative Trader Workstation.

Robin has an MSc in Finance from the Henley Business School, and recently completed the HBS’ Hedge Fund Executive Program. He blogs frequently on regulatory developments, financial technology and market structure (available on LinkedIn & www.NortonEdge.com).
