Johnson Poh

Head Data Science

DBS BANK

Johnson is currently Head Data Science for Big Data Analytics at DBS Bank where he drives the development of core data science capabilities for enhancing decision analysis. He holds an adjunct faculty appointment at SMU School of Information Systems and his focus areas include applied statistical computing, machine learning as well as big data tools and techniques. He was formerly Chief Data Scientist, ASEAN at Booz Allen Hamilton as well as Head Data Science/ Principal Data Scientist at the Ministry of Defence, Singapore.

An avid programmer and data enthusiast, Johnson enjoys developing apps and data products. Most recently, he was awarded first prize in Singapore’s largest coding competition, Smart Nation Hackathon@SG 2015 as well as the CapitaLand Data Challenge 2016.

Johnson completed his bachelor’s degree at University of California, Berkeley, majoring in the subjects of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. He received his postgraduate degree in Statistics at Yale University.

Hillel Raz

Chief Scientist

BondIT

Hillel is a co-founder of BondIT and holds the position of Chief Scientist. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematical physics from the University of California, Davis. His thesis required solving multi body problems in statistical mechanics, both in classical and quantum frameworks.

Hillel was a postdoctoral fellow at Cardiff University, Wales and a visiting postdoctoral fellow at the Weizmann Institute. His well published paper dealt with graph theory, in both quantum and classical graphs, and explains the way a particular operator behaves in various conditions.

As the Tech Co-founder, he is responsible for many of the proprietary and original algorithms used in BondIT that sets the formulations of the solution for portfolio construction and rebalancing.

Harsh Prasad

Morgan Stanley

Harsh currently works with Morgan Stanley in Quant Analytics Group. He started his career as a programmer focussed on developing data driven algos in the areas of speech recognition, image processing and bioinformatics. He then moved to financial risk management and over the last 12 years has worked in various roles through the life cycle of models, most notably as market risk methodology developer. In these roles, he has been continuously enthusiastic to applying machine learning in problems related to behavioural assumptions, data quality, recommender systems, model benchmarking and text analytics. His current role requires him reviewing models from a third line of defence perspective across all model types including Machine Learning models used by the firm and providing direction to shaping AIML governance framework and strategy. He is also a visiting lecturer with universities and training institutions.

Carolina is a German Engineer who has been a Developer at Rolls Royce and consulted the largest car manufacturers and suppliers in the world at Roland Berger Strategy Consulting. Following her expertise at Morgan Stanley Investment Management she joined the Management Consulting team at EY in Hong Kong combining her tech and finance background serving financial services clients (Insurances, Asset Manager, Retail and Commercial Banks) with insights on how new technologies will impact their business strategy, operating model, culture and ecosystem. She is also founder of an early stage startup - Cerebro 天慧人工智能公 - developing an AI index showcasing the applications of Artificial Intelligence pursued by global AI players in the world while focusing on Chinese player.
